BWPhotoChallenge: Day 4

NATURE'S SHELTER

I took this photo during one of our relaxing days in the park when we used to spend our summers in Singapore. The air was pretty humid that day (it's Singapore, every day is humid! Haha!) and we just decided to stop going to the shopping districts for a while and actually spend time just chillin' in the park. We were with other family members and we left them at this huge sandbox because they were having a picnic. My sister and I decided to go "get lost" in this huge park and finally found this tree. It was so beautiful that I couldn't stop taking photos of it.

This was a shot taken by my sister of the tree:

Then it reminded me of a verse from the Bible:

DO NOT WORRY (Matthew 6:25-34)
“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?

“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.
See? It's an amazing tree and God created it! Some person may have planted its seed, but God caused it to grow. Whenever I remember that tree, I am reminded not to worry about where I am going, or worry about having the things that I need. Who better to rest all of these worries than on the God who created you and me? Who created the universe and all its splendor? Who thought of us as He mouthed the words "Let there be light!"?

I don't know about you, but for me, it would be a great insult to an almighty God if we worried about the littlest things. Rest your cares upon Him and DO NOT WORRY!
