Have you ever gone to the department store with looking for the perfect lipstick shade in mind? Then as you are walking out the store with or without a new lippy purchased, you find your hand looking like a palette of different shades of reds and possibly even browns.
Would you believe that this whole ensemble is worth less than 700? Well, here's my breakdown.
- Navy Blue Chiffon Top - 250php
- Shorts- 90php
- Belt- 100php
- Shoes (Soulmate)- 199.50php (this was bought with another pair, both for 399php)
The top, shorts and belt were all purchased in St. Francis Square while the shoes were from the SM Department Store.
I've always enjoyed wearing shorts. It started when my Grandmother ranted about my bottoms of choice whenever I went out with the family when I was younger. She told me to show off my legs because she thought they were beautiful. Hihi! Funny that my old-fashioned Grandma gave me the thumbs up for wearing shorts when going out on public. After that conversation, I finally started buying shorts and skirts, and at the end, I had more shorts than jeans in my closet.
Although my Grandma gave me the okay on shorts, my mom being the paranoid one in the family... gave me this specific rule, "Do not wear shorts or skirts when commuting. It is only allowable to wear them if you ride in a car." Sigh. Being the obedient daughter, I've been compliant to the rule my mother has set.
This was my outfit for my sister's birthday day-out. :)
Whenever I wear an outfit that would show skin at one part of my body, I've always made it a point to cover the other parts tastefully. So that I wouldn't come across as 'easy' to the people that I would meet wherever I go.
After much deliberation, I’ve finally decided to give my blog a new face and feel. I got tired from doing those tutorial blogs and product reviews… because let’s face it… why would any one take make-up advice from someone who is just starting to learn the art of make-up herself?
Is make-up an art? Hmmm.. I think so.
So, here it is. A new blog. Not caring who gets to read this or who will actually follow my train of thought. This blog is for me and probably those who are like me.
Completely sane but a bit nutty.
John Legend’s song ALL OF ME has been part of the chill playlist on my iPod for a while now. It does not take a music major to say that the melody is exquisite and the lyrics just… sweet.
Those words will become meaningless when we finally say this to our spouse if in the path into the commitment with them was full of wrong relationships. Let’s just get right into it, if we commit to a relationship, we give pieces of ourselves to the ones we are with. And if this ends, they take this piece with them. So, how can you say that ALL of you loves, ALL of them? Maybe the correct statement will be: ALL THATS LEFT of you loves, ALL of them.
Now, you may ask… what’s my point? Well, here it is…
Do not jump from one relationship to another. Really discern if that person that caught your eye really is in for the long run. Let’s face it, all of us never really get into a relationship just to have a permanent boyfriend or girlfriend. Our goal will always be MARRIAGE.
So think… is that boy you’re with right now someone you’d want to have kids with? be with when life gets too hard? spend the rest of your days with?
If the answer is no. Well, you don’t need me to tell you what to do.
Meet our new baby!
We call him TED, in honor of How I Met Your Mother’s THEODORE “TED” EVELYN MOSBY. :)
This baby was given to us by our older cousin since he wasn’t using it anymore.
I’ve never hated Hand-Me-Downs, but in this particular instance… I LOVE IT! hahaha!
Will be practicing with Teddy Westside soon and looking forward to adventures to be captured with him on hand. :)
